Governor Khofifah Firmly: ASN Serves The Community, Not Served Until They Get More Facilities

SURABAYA - East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, reminded the role of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) as public servants as mandated by the duties and positions.

"Within the Central Government, Provincial Government, and Regency / City Government, all ASN has a duty to serve the community, not be served," said Khofifah on the sidelines of briefing participants for basic training and ASN training at the East Java BPSDM Building in Surabaya, reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 16.

The number one person in the East Java Provincial Government also asked ASN to leave old work patterns such as wanting to be served, respected and getting more facilities.

According to him, the current ASN must be motivated to keep trying to create something new and provide innovative, creative, and solution-based services.

"ASN must be oriented on how to make service and performance faster, better, more efficient, effective, accountable and more responsive," he said.

The General Chairperson of PP Muslimat NU said that by providing the best service for the community, it is hoped that it can accelerate the prosperity and welfare of the people of East Java.

This, he continued, is very in line with what is stated in the "Nawa Bhakti Satya" program, namely to glorify the people of East Java. community economy based on food and soft drinks as well as drug handling aimed at health workers.

East Java BPSDM, he continued, also continues to carry out competency development activities for ASN, one of which is through ASN Learning activities.

"Every week, ASN are required to study wherever they are. They must continue to develop their competence through ASN learning events," he said.

On the other hand, on the same occasion, a cooperation agreement was signed between the BPSDM of East Java and the Graduate School of Airlangga University, Surabaya.

The agreement is about developing human resource competencies in order to realize professional and quality ASN through the Jatim Corporate University.
