Positive COVID-19 Patients Jump From 12th Floor Hospital In Medan

MEDAN - A COVID-19 patient died after jumping from the 12th floor of Royal Prima Hospital, Medan. This patient has been in isolation for 11 days in the hospital.

"It's true, the patient is a woman and a resident of Medan. She has been treated for 11 days with confirmation of COVID-19," said the spokesman for the North Sumatra COVID-19 Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling (GTPP) Dr. Aris Yudhariansyah confirmed, Wednesday, August 5.

The patient with the initials M (39), was determined to jump from the hospital at around 11.00 WIB. It is suspected that he jumped through the window of the treatment room at the Royal Prima Hospital.

"But if it is certain that suicide is due to stress. We just don't know whether stress is due to COVID-19 or not," he explained.

Aris said that COVID-19 patients were in good condition while undergoing treatment. There were no comorbidities in this patient.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Medan continues to rise. Finally, the Acting Mayor of Medan Akhyar Nasution was confirmed positive for COVID-19.
