Head Of PPATK Ready To Help Pansel Team Candidates For KPU And Bawaslu Chair

JAKARTA - Head of the Center for Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis (PPATK), Ivan Yustiavandana, received a visit from the Selection Committee Team for the Chair and Members of the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) for the 2022-2027 period.

The meeting is a form of friendship between the KPU and Bawaslu Selection Committee Teams to strengthen inter-institutional synergy in the success of the Election of Candidates for Chair and Members of the KPU and Bawaslu for the 2022-2027 Period.

Present at the meeting were Head of the Selection Team Juri Ardiantoro, Vice Chairman Chandra M.Hamzah, Selection Team Secretary Bahtiar, Selection Team Member Eddy Omar Sharif Hiariej, Airlangga Pribadi Kusman, Endang Sulastri, I Dewa Gede Palguna, and Poengky Indarti.

The head of PPATK Ivan Yustiavandana positively welcomed the visit made by the selection committee team. "PPATK is ready to fully assist the work of the Selection Committee Team, to support the holding of the simultaneous General Elections in 2024", he said, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 15.

The head of the selection committee Juri Adriantoro said the number of applicants for the candidate for chairman and members of KPU-Bawaslu currently has reached 740 registrants. Applicants will then go through various stages of the selection process.

"The administrative selection process will be announced on November 17, 2021", said Juri at the meeting.

Juri said the selection committee team requested assistance from PPATK to be able to trace the track records of financial transactions from candidates for chairman and members of KPU and Bawaslu.

"We expect support from PPATK, to be able to help trace the track records of financial transactions of the candidates for chairman and members of the KPU and Bawaslu", said Juri.

The results of the PPATK search will later be used as material for recommendations and considerations for the Selection Committee Team for the Chair and Members of the KPU and Bawaslu to determine candidates who have integrity and a good track record of financial transactions.
