MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution's assertiveness was again shown by closing 3 nightclubs in Medan, North Sumatra. This operation was carried out by Bobby Nasution together with a joint National Armed Force (TNI)/National Police (Polri) team.

The three sealed nightlife spots in Medan are The Shoot Pool Jalan Pattimura, High Five and Heaven7 Jalan Abdullah Lubis. From the three locations, officers conducted a urine test and found 6 positive visitors using narcotics.

Medan Deputy Chief of Police, Irsan Sinuhaji said the six visitors were secured from one of the karaoke rooms.

"Asa 1 location for entertainment venues on Abdullah Lubis Street, after we did an examination in one of the karaoke rooms after checking the urine results were positive. So from the results of the examination there were 6 visitors who came back positive," said Irsan to reporters, Monday, November 15 .

Currently, he said, the six visitors have been secured at the Medan Police Headquarters for inspection.

"We are investigating where the person concerned got the narcotics from," he said.

Irsan said, based on the confessions of the six visitors, they got the illicit goods from outside the entertainment venue.

"From a temporary confession from outside, but it is still being investigated whether it was obtained from outside or how it is being investigated by investigators," he said.

In addition to bringing the six visitors, his party also brought the manager of the nightclub to the Medan Police Headquarters.

"We have also brought the manager to the Polrestabes for information," he explained.

For the closure of the location, Irsan said his party had submitted it to the Medan City Civil Service Police (Satpol PP).

Meanwhile, the acting head of the Civil Service Police Chief (PP Kasatpol) Rahmat Harahap explained that before the sealing was carried out, the team would first disband and verify the business operating license.

"Before we carry out the sealing, the team must first disband properly and verify the operating permit, and we will temporarily close this for twelve days," explained Rahmat.
