Prabowo Reprimanded For Jokowi's Sarcasm, Gerindra Ensures Fadli Zon Is Not Sanctioned

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Board of Trustees who is also a member of Commission I of the DPR, Fadli Zon, has certainly not been sanctioned after being reprimanded by General Chair Prabowo Subianto for insulting President Joko Widodo.

This was said by the Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Council and spokesman for the Gerindra Party, Habiburrokhman, in response to Prabowo's warning to Fadli. According to him, Prabowo's warning was just an ordinary warning without any sanctions.

"No (there is a sanction, ed), it's a normal warning," said Habiburrokhman in Jakarta, Monday, November 15.

According to him, Prabowo's warning is a natural thing to do to every cadre. "I myself, as a party spokesman, have often been reprimanded, as well as other members of the DPR," said Habiburrokhman.

It is known that the insinuation of a member of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives who is also the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Gerindra Party, Fadli Zon, to President Joko Widodo about the flood in Sintang, West Kalimantan (West Kalimantan) led to a warning. The reprimand was even directly from the General Chairperson of Gerindra, Prabowo Subianto.

It started with a tweet from Fadli Zon who commented on Jokowi after directly testing the Mandalika Circuit in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK), Central Lombok, NTB.

The chairman of the DPR BKSAP gave his appreciation, as well as insinuated Jokowi about the Sintang flood. It is known, the flood that hit Sintang did occur for more than two weeks. The Sintang flood has not subsided and has caused thousands of houses to be submerged.

"It's amazing, sir. Congratulations on the inauguration of the Mandalika Circuit. When are you going to Sintang, it's been 3 weeks the floods haven't subsided," Fadli wrote on his personal Twitter account, @fadlizon, as seen on Saturday, November 13.

As a result, Fadli Zon's satire made General Chairman Prabowo Subianto intervene. Prabowo reprimanded Fadli Zon not directly, but through Gerindra Secretary General Ahmad Muzani.
