BMKG Weather Forecast: Rain Hits Jakarta From Noon To Tonight

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that on Monday, Jakarta will experience rain from noon to night.

Based on the data listed on the BMKG website, it can be seen that all areas in DKI Jakarta are cloudy in the morning.

Entering the afternoon, West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and North Jakarta will be hit by moderate rain, while for South and East Jakarta will be hit by rain and lightning, and the Thousand Islands will be hit by light rain during the day.

Entering the evening, the entire DKI Jakarta area will be hit by light rain. After that, the weather will be cloudy again when it enters the early morning.

It was also recorded that the average temperature per region reached 24-31 percent with air humidity reaching 80-100 percent.

Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government prepared three "keywords" as anticipatory steps to deal with potential disasters caused by La Nina.

"There are three keywords that must be adhered to and implemented, namely alert, responsive, and mobilizing," said DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan during an Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) preparedness meeting in DKI Jakarta Province at Pluit Reservoir City Park, North Jakarta, Sunday, November 14.

La Nina is a natural phenomenon that causes the air to feel colder or experience more rainfall.

Anies said that in implementing the first "keyword", namely standby, officers must have thought of anticipatory steps to save and map out safe locations.

Furthermore, Anies said, if the BMKG announces there will be heavy local rain, then after being alert, Jakarta must be responsive, meaning that there must be a quick response when flooding begins.

The last one is supportive, meaning that you must muster all your strength when dealing with floods.
