In Surabaya, Anies Baswedan Shows Off His Success, Gun Romli PSI Shouts: Why Can't You See Jakarta Flooding? Slapstick!

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was recently invited to Surabaya to be the keynote speaker in an event titled East Java Millennial Diction. On that occasion, Anies revealed several successes in leading DKI Jakarta.

One of the success points highlighted by Anies is the subsidy provided by the DKI Provincial Government for residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Approximately 2.4 million Heads of Families (KK) receive social assistance subsidies from the DKI Provincial Government.

Anies' claim of success was quipped by Partai Solidaritas Indonesia (PSI) politician, Guntur Romli. Gun Romli--Guntur Romli's nickname--was surprised that Anies still had time to visit Surabaya, while Jakarta was in a flooded condition.

According to Gun Romli, the event was just an image stage prepared for Anies. "Who invited @aniesbaswedan to Surabaya? The buzzers huh? How come you don't see Jakarta being flooded, Anies imaging stage is made in Surabaya", quipped Gun Romli via his personal Twitter, @GunRomli quoted on Sunday, November 14.

Fortunately, according to Gun Romli, the number one person in East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, was not present at the event, as if to confirm Anies' claim of success.

"Alhamdulillah, the Governor of East Java, Ms. Khofifah, was not present at the event. Maybe Anies didn't want to be used", said Gun Romli. The award as an inspirational leader given to Anies also did not escape the spotlight of Gun Romli. This Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) activist believes that there is no successful inspiration that Anies can emulate.

"Buzzers @aniesbaswedan gave the 'Inspirational Leader' award. What is the inspiration for Jakarta? Jakarta continues to flood. Inspiration for Anies who are silent when asked about Formula E, flooded & 212? Awards are self-made, submitted, and accepted by yourself. Stupid!", quipped Gun Romli.

At the same event, Anies was also given an award as an Inspirational Leader by the Diction of Surabaya. The event committee actually invited East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa as the keynote speaker.

However, Khofifah was unable to attend and was represented to the Head of the DPM-PTSP (One-Stop Integrated Service and Investment Service) of East Java Province, Aries Mukiyono.
