SURABAYA - Another case of baby dumping has occurred in Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. This time, the beautiful two-week-old baby was dumped by her biological mother, at the doorstep of Sumiati's house, a resident of Jabaran Village, Balongbendo, Sidoarjo.

"But this perpetrator cannot be punished, because he has a mental disorder", said Sidoarjo Police Chief, Kombes Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro, at the Sidoarjo Police Headquarters, Thursday, November 11.

Kusumo said that the thrower of the baby was her own biological mother, namely TSA, 28, a resident of Sooko Village, Sooko District, Mojokerto Regency. From the results of the police investigation, the baby's biological mother at the time of the incident was about to go to her parent's house in Gedeg, Mojokerto.

"But in the middle of the trip, she admitted that she got a magical whisper from a grandfather, to put the baby to the east of her residence. Until she arrived in the Balongbendo area, then she left the baby at Mr. Sumiati's house, Jabaran Village", he said.

According to Kusumo, it was revealed who the thrower of this baby was from her biological father who came to the Balongbendo Police Station after he learned that a baby girl had been found. Meanwhile, the person concerned at the time of the incident, said Kusumo, admitted that he was confused to find his wife and daughter, not at home.

After reporting to the police, then the father and the police searched for the whereabouts of TSA until Tuesday night, November 9, 2021. Finally, TSA was found at the Mojokerto terminal police post, in a dazed and confused looking for the baby.

Therefore, based on the results of the TSA psychiatric examination conducted on November 10, 2021, it cannot be subject to the threat of punishment.

"It turns out that the baby's mother, according to family information and the results of psychological examinations, has a mental disorder. In the form of often shutting herself up, hallucinating and reluctant to socialize", he said.
