Bad News, An 80-Year-Old Man Has Been Missing For 2 Days In The Konawe Forest

JAKARTA - Kendari National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) conducted a search for an elderly man named Lakuo (80). Lakuo was reported missing in the forest area of Besulutu Village, Konawe Regency, Southeast Sulawesi (Sultra).

Head of the Kendari Basarnas Aris Sofingi in Kendari, Thursday, November 11, said that his party received information about Lakuo's dangerous condition from the victim's son, Sadli.

"The victim's son named Mr. Sadli reported that the victim had been missing since November 9, 2021," said Aris through the release of Public Relations of the Kendari Basarnas as reported by Antara.

Based on the report, at 13.30 p.m. local time, as many as seven rescue teams from the Kendari Search and Rescue Office (KPP) were dispatched to the location using a rescue car along with other safety support equipment to provide SAR assistance.

"The victim is a resident of Besulutu Village, Besulutu District, Konawe," he said.

It was explained, on Tuesday 9 November at 13.00 p.m., the victim left his house with the aim of checking his sago plants, the habit of the victim returning from the forest at 17.30 p.m.

"The search has been carried out by the victim's family and local residents, but until this information we received no results, so we headed to LKK to provide SAR assistance," said Aris.
