JAKARTA - The case of the fatal accident that claimed the lives of Vanessa Angel and Febri Andriansyah has entered its final stage. This is because a suspect has been identified in this case.

Tubagus Muhammad Joddy Pramas Setya or the driver of Vanessa Angel becomes the suspect.

The determination of the suspect against Joddy was based on an Investigation Commencement Order (SPDP) received by the Jombang District Attorney (Kejari).

The head of the Jombang Prosecutor's Office, Imran, who confirmed this matter, confirmed it. The SDPP for the fatal accident on the Jombang Toll Road KM 672+300 was delegated from the Jombang Police.

"Today we received SPDP number 837 from the police, and there is one suspect named Joddy," said Imran, confirmed on Wednesday, November 10.

In the SPDP, said Imran, Tubagus Muhammad Joddy was the sole suspect. Although the main cause of the fatal accident is not yet known

"There has been (a suspect), in the name of Tubagus Muhammad Joddy. There is only one person," he said.

Threat of 6 Years in Prison

On the other hand, the SPDP also stated the article that was suspected of being against Joddy. He is strongly suspected of violating Article 310 of Law No. 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation.

"(The case) of the traffic law, Article 310 paragraph 2 and paragraph 4, for the time being, yes," said Imran.

If referring to the article, Joddy faces a maximum sentence of 6 years in prison. The sanctions are also contained in Article 310 paragraph (4) which reads;

'In the event of an accident as referred to in paragraph (3) which results in the death of another person, the punishment shall be maximum imprisonment of 6 years and/or a maximum fine of Rp12,000,000'.

By having received the SPDP, Imran continued, it is now just a matter of waiting for the case file to be studied further in accordance with its authority. The Jombang Kejari has also appointed three prosecutors, one of which is the Head of General Crimes Section, Achmad Jaya.

"Furthermore, after the SPDP, it means that we are waiting for the file, the case file for us to study according to our authority. We will immediately appoint this prosecutor. I will appoint three people.
