JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Vaccination Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, said that Indonesia's COVID-19 vaccination achievement is currently ranked 5th in the world.

"If we compare it with other countries, in terms of vaccination achievements, the number of people who were vaccinated at least the first dose was 125 million (people). We are in 5th place after China, India, America, and Brazil", said Nadia in the dialogue program was reported by Antara, Tuesday, November 9.

According to her, Indonesia's vaccination rating is quite good considering the other four countries are vaccine-producing.

She is also optimistic that the speed of injecting the COVID-19 vaccine and the target of accelerating vaccination in Indonesia will be by the plan.

Nadia noted that as of November 2021, data on vaccination achievements in 21 provinces in Indonesia had reached 70 percent. "The homework means we still have 13 provinces", she said.

Nadia said there are many challenges to achieving the targeted vaccination achievement in the 13 provinces, including the geographical location that is difficult to reach and the availability of flight facilities in the area.
