Densus 88 Arrest Suspected Terrorist In Gresik

SURABAYA - The arrest of suspected terrorists has occurred again in East Java. This time, the Anti-Terror Densus 88 Team arrested a suspected terrorist in Petiken Village, Driyorejo District, Gresik Regency, East Java.

Confirming this matter, the Head of Petikan Village, Mardi Utomo, confirmed that an arrest had taken place in his village. However, Mardi has not been able to explain the details regarding the arrest of a citizen.

He only said the arrest took place at around 08.00 WIB this morning. A man was arrested at his residence.

"The arrest by the Densus 88 Team at the house in question in the Kumala Granite Block. Currently, it is still being followed up because it is still suspected", said Mardi, Tuesday, November 9.

Mardi said the suspected terrorist was very close to the neighbors. He is known to work every day as an electronic service worker.

"I don't know the name of the alleged culprit, just waiting for the information", he said.

Until now, there has been no official statement from the police, including from the Gresik Police. The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Gatot Repli Handoko, also kept a secret regarding the arrest of a suspected terrorist.

"Commander's permission will be released later from the National Police Headquarters", said Gatot briefly.
