The Perpetrator Of The Mobile Phone Robbery Of A Small Child In Cakung Was Arrested In The Prabumulih Area Of South Sumatra

JAKARTA - The Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit has again arrested a suspect in the mobile phone snatcher with the initials HAS who had fled to the Prabumulih area, South Sumatra.

HAS was arrested for being involved in the robbery of a mobile phone belonging to a woman with the initials VP (11) on Pisangan Bulak Street, Aneka Elok Housing, Cakung, East Jakarta. The arrest of HAS was made after the Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit first arrested the suspect with the initials PH.

The East Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Pol Erwin Kurniawan said that the incident began when the victim VP was walking with her friend. Then they were approached by two unidentified men riding a motorcycle with the initials PH (23) and HAS (23).

"Then forcibly seized the cellphone that was in the victim's hand", said Erwin to VOI, Monday, November 8.

Luckily, the theft was caught on a CCTV camera at the location, so the police investigated the footage

The suspect PH was first secured by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cakung Police on Tuesday, November 2, yesterday. The initial arrest of PH occurred when the victim's parents got their child's cellphone being sold by the perpetrator via Facebook, from there it was finally reported to the Cakung Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

"For his actions, the perpetrators are subject to Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with violence with a maximum threat of 9 years in prison", he said.
