Those Who Hope PDIP Gives Presidential Election Tickets For Ganjar Pranowo

JAKARTA - Volunteers supporting the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Prabowo, who are members of the Kawan Ganjar Bersatu Nasional (KGBN) admit that they have not met a champion to be pushed forward to become a presidential candidate in the 2024 Presidential Election. The KGBN itself has declared its support for Ganjar since the beginning of June 2021. "Until today, we haven't. KGBN is only volunteers from the grassroots, there has been no communication or notification to Ganjar," said KGBN Chairperson Juliant Palar when contacted by VOI, Wednesday, November 3.

According to him, to date there have been 26 volunteer organizations that both support Ganjar Pranowo. Juliant hopes that all Ganjar volunteers can collaborate because of the same goal while monitoring the development of the PDIP cadre's electability.

"If there is no meeting yet, in the near future we will still focus on grass root because after all, electability is very important, so consolidation with others and Pak Ganjar has not," he said.

Regarding the competition for candidates, such as the Sandi volunteers, Anies volunteers, as well as Prabowo and Puan volunteers, Juliant said this is normal in a democracy.

"As a democratic country, it's legal who supports whom we think, but we can see the output in the electability number. After all, the number determines who the Indonesian people actually want," he said.

"So support is legal, if you want to support Anies, please, Sandi, please, in our opinion, it's not a competition, but how can we work under introducing Ganjar's figure to the community and have direct contact down to the bottom," he continued.

So what if Ganjar is ready to run for president but no political party carries it?

"If we look at the current phenomenon in the media, there are many phenomenal ones. In essence, we hope that the PDIP itself supports Pak Ganjar," said Julian.
