Held A Meeting At Puncak During Jakarta PPKM Level 1, These Are The Four Reasons For DKI DPRD

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives is still holding a budget discussion meeting at the Grand Cempaka Resort and Convention, Puncak, Bogor, West Java, even though Jakarta has now entered PPKM Level 1.

Based on VOI's monitoring, the hotel owned by the DKI Provincial Government which is used as a meeting room for the executive and legislative branches has a fairly large yard.

Each Regional House of Representatives Commission held a meeting in their respective rooms. The members of the council and officials of the regional work unit (SKPD) sit at a table that is separated by each person.

Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives, Mohamad Taufik, explained four reasons why his party was still holding meetings outside the Regional House of Representatives building. The first reason is that although the capital city's COVID-19 pandemic conditions have improved, the transmission of COVID-19 must be anticipated.

"Even though we are at level 1, our anticipation must still be maintained. Considering that some time ago a member of the council was infected with COVID-19", said Taufik when meeting at the location, Wednesday, November 3.

The second reason, Taufik said budget discussion meetings are always attended by many people. Each member of the council, the head of the SKPD, the head of the regional-owned enterprise (BUMD) also brought their own staff.

The meeting room at this location is actually not much different from the size of the Commission's meeting room in the DKI Regional House of Representatives building. However, with a large yard, the assistant staff of executive and legislative officials can monitor the meeting from outside the room.

"Imagine if this is all piled up in the Regional House of Representatives Building. All SKPD bring their staff, what is it like? If it's spacious here, it can still be accommodated, and air circulation is better maintained", explained Taufik.

The third reason, Taufik considers the meeting at Grand Cempaka can make the budget discussion more focused.

"The SKPD and Regional House of Representatives members here are more focused, not pacing. For example, I was here last night at 12. Then, at 9 the next day there was another meeting. If you're not here, don't rush", he said.

Then the fourth reason, Grand Cempaka is an inn owned by the DKI Provincial Government. Even though there is more budget spent on accommodation, the financing will again be included in the provincial government's revenue.

"After all, this belongs to DKI as well. Some of my friends are staying here", said Taufik.

For information, last year the Regional House of Representatives also held a budget discussion meeting for the preparation of the 2021 Regional Budget in Grand Cempaka. Recently, the Regional House of Representatives and the DKI Provincial Government have again discussed budget issues in this location.

General Policy for Changes in Budget and Priority for the Provisional Budget Ceiling (KUPA-PPAS) 2021 and General Policy for Budget Ceiling and Priority for the Provisional Budget Ceiling (KUA-PPAS) 2022 starting last September 2021.

Today, the Regional House of Representatives and the DKI Provincial Government held a meeting to deepen the KUA-PPAS of Regional Budget for the 2022 budget year in five DKI Regional House of Representatives Commissions.
