JAKARTA - Head of the Task Force for Handling COVID-19 Ganip Warsito has issued an Addendum to Circular Letter (SE) Number 20 of 2021 concerning International Travel Health Protocols During the COVID-19 Pandemic.

In this SE, the government reduces the quarantine period for travelers from abroad to three days. With a note, the traveler has been vaccinated against COVID-19 in two doses.

Meanwhile, travelers who have just been vaccinated with one dose will continue to undergo a five-day quarantine period as in the previous SE.

"Required to undergo quarantine for 5x24 hours for international travelers who have just received the first dose of vaccine or for 3x24 hours for international travelers who have received the full dose of vaccine," Ganip wrote in a SE published Tuesday, November 2.

Every traveler from abroad is also required to carry out an RT-PCR test upon arrival at the entrance to Indonesia. Then, retest after quarantine.

"The second RT PCR retest to complete the quarantine or exit test on the third day for the three-day quarantine obligation, and the exit test on the fourth day for the five-day quarantine obligation," said COVID-19 Task Force Spokesperson Wiku Adisasmito in a virtual press conference.

For Indonesian citizens who are Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI), students, or government employees who return from an overseas official trip, they will undergo quarantine at a cost borne by the government.

For Indonesian citizens outside of that, as well as foreigners including foreign diplomats outside the head of the foreign representative and the family of the head of the foreign representative, undergo paid quarantine in quarantine accommodation.

Then, in the event that the head of the foreign representative and family serving in Indonesia can self-quarantine at their respective residences for 5x24 hours for international travelers who have just received the first dose of vaccine, or for 3x24 hours for international travelers who have received the complete dose of vaccine.
