JAKARTA - The film Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings received an extraordinary response. Not only the film, the musicians who contributed to the soundtrack also came from the Asian continent.
Marvel Music and Interscope Records released the official soundtrack produced by Sean Miyashiro from record label 88rising. Destin Daniel Cretton as the director also participated in choosing songs that complemented Shang-Chi's story.
Previously, several songs such as Lazy Susan, Every Summertime, and Run It were released as singles last August. The chosen theme relates to family heritage and memories.
“We wanted to make music and write songs to celebrate all of that, while marrying the film's theme of valuing family,” says Sean Miyashiro.
Cretton also said, "While we were editing Shang-Chi, we were constantly inspired by the early recordings that came from this amazing musician."
