Still Likes Rock Music, President Joko Widodo Posts A Picture With Ahmad Albar

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo is known as a rock music fan. It seems that preference has never changed. This is evident from the upload of photos with Ahmad Albar on Instagram @jokowi.

President Joko Widodo said the music group Godbless is an important part of the history of music in the country. This was conveyed by the President regarding the plan to hold a virtual concert "Godbless 48th Anniversary: Starting Today", which will be held on August 31, 2021.

"I was a teenager when Godbless appeared and triumphed in the country. The songs are good, the music is fun, the lyrics are evocative. Who doesn't remember the song Huma di Atas Bukit, Panggung Sandiwara, or Roda Kehidupan?", Jokowi wrote in the caption, quoted Monday, August 30.

Iriana's husband also gave an impression of the vocalist, Ahmad Albar. "The singer has his own characteristics: frizzy hair, deep voice, and energetic stage style. I think almost all Indonesians know him. He is Ahmad Albar, who is fondly called Mas Iyek, who is standing next to me", he explained.

The upload is a form of support for the concert of 48 years of work in the Indonesian music industry by holding a virtual concert "Godbless 48th Anniversary: Starting Today" which will be held on August 31.

"This concert deserves support. Godbless is an important part of the history of Indonesian music", the President wrote.

In the upload, the President also uploaded a photo of himself with singer Godbless Ahmad Albar at the Presidential Palace.
