JAKARTA - TikTok star Jharna Bhagwani has released her first single, Tell Me. This song was composed by Eka Gustiwana from the Weird Genius music group.

Jharna's introduction to Eka can't be separated from the makeup tutorial video as well as the #LathiChallenge lipsync. The video by Jharna has also gone viral on TikTok and Instagram.

Jharna said that one of her dreams was to make music, which was welcomed by Eka. "Early June 2021, I shared with brother Eka some song references and draft lyrics that I wrote."

"Brainstorm and exchange ideas executed online. Then, in early August, we entered the recording studio, so the whole process took about two months," said Jharna in a statement, Sunday, August 29.

Jharna said that art is a medium of exploration for her. She designed her own concept and message what she wanted to display.

If all this time people have seen her work through makeup videos, now Jharna wants to introduce another side of herself through songs and music videos.

Tell Me has a mid-tempo arrangement with a dark experimental pop feel. The song is about conflict, betrayal, indecision, and loss of trust due to an overly controlling partner and a relationship full of sweet lies.

Jharna hopes that listeners can appreciate her latest creations. But the main message to be conveyed is that no one deserves to be in a toxic relationship.

As a beauty influencer, Jharna already has millions of followers on her social media accounts. Since going viral with #LathiChallenge, she has received a number of award awards in 2020 and has attracted even more followers, nationally and internationally with 10 million followers on TikTok and 3.3 million followers on Instagram.
