'Solitude', Sade Susanto's New Song To Feel A Broken Heart

JAKARTA - Sade Susanto has released a new single entitled Solitude. This song is Sade Susanto's third release with JUNI Records, after 2 previous singles, namely U Got Me and Don't Control Me.

"I'm always excited every time Sade releases a new song. Sade is always full of surprises, when I listen to Solitude's demo I can immediately memorize it. The hook of this song is easily recorded in the head”, said Adryanto Pratono, CEO of JUNI Records when contacted on Friday, August 20.

The song Solitude was written by Sade in 2018 when she was just going through a relationship that felt only one-sided. She and a man have a relationship where everything seems to be fine, but deep down Sade knows that something is wrong and is hiding from her and eventually leads them to separate.

The song Solitude is the first broken heart song released by Sade with lyrics that feel more fragile, not passionate, but describe all of Sade's sadness about heartbreak and loneliness.

"This song will be the first heartbreak song I've ever written. No, painting sad stories in happier colors. There are some heartbreaks that are not present to be brushed off but to be absorbed, right?”, said Sade Susanto, an R&B singer who was born on May 6, 1998.

The song arrangement is deliberately kept simple and tends to be simple. This is meant to highlight Sade's vocal abilities. Assisted by Heston Prasetyo as producer and vocal director.

Solitude is the first song that Sade designed from scratch. It's quite different from Sade's usual method where the producer and beatmaker first provide a blank beat which requires Sade to adjust the lyrics of the song to their arrangement.

For this work, all the basic elements come from Sade herself, from chord selection, lyric writing, song concept. "Solitude is my favorite song that I've written so far", concluded Sade.
