JAKARTA - Gorillaz has kept their Song Machine project going strong since early January. Now, they are teasing their fans with a new collaboration with Octavian.

The band posted on Twitter that the following installment of the Song Machine album - Season One, Episode Four will feature the rapper, and the collaboration will be released soon.

Song Machine has shown how this iconic virtual band pulled off a number of collaborations this year. Starting with Momentary Bliss with slowthai and Slaves in January, they have also released collaborations with Fatoumata Diawara, Peter Hook, and Georgia.

This upcoming collaboration with Octavian will be Gorillaz's first single since How Far? launched last month with Skepta in honor of the late Nigerian drummer Tony Allen.

A few weeks ago, Damon Albarn teamed up with 2-D animated vocalist Gorillaz for a meta (Most Effective Tactic Available) performance by Aries. The song was released in April with Peter Hook and Georgia as part of a special edition at Jimmy Kimmel Live!

As for Octavian, this collaboration will be his first release since he collaborated with Skepta in March on Papa Chulo.

The two rappers have hooked up several times recently, including Octavian's appearance in Skepta's video, Love Me Not, and Skepta's appearance on the Endorphins mixtape in the song Bet.
