Dian Sastrowardoyo Gets Candra Darusman For Our Encounter Song

JAKARTA - Musician Candra Darusman released a collaboration with actress Dian Sastrowardoyo entitled Encounter Kita. The song was released on today, June 11th digitally.

Encounter Kita tells the story of a happy meeting of two people who are summarized in a sweet memory. This song was arranged by pianist Irsa Destiwi with a Brazilian samba rhythm.

Both are artists from different industries but they are united in creating a work while paying attention to copyright in the world of cinema and royalties in the field of music.

Therefore, some of the royalties from the song "Perjumpaan Kita" will be donated to public awareness to understand the importance of complying with copyright in music and film arts.

"Finally I accepted the invitation because through this collaboration, there was one good cause that was carried out, namely to promote the spirit of creating musical works and also about Royalty Collection," said Dian, who was hesitant to accept the offer.

This donation will be given through Pundi Fesmi (Federation of Indonesian Music Unions) led by Candra Darusman.

Encounter Kita is Dian Sastrowardoyo's latest release after collaborating with Diskoria for the song Serenata Jiwa Lara. Candra Darusman wrote the lyrics and melodic structure by including the jazz genre.

This song continues the collaboration project of Candra Darusman after My Time is Hampa with singer Ardhito Pramono.

Reportedly, Encounter Kita will be included in the album Detik Time #2 - Journey of Work, which is planned to be released in the second half of 2021.
