Wijaya 80 and Sal Priadi Lift the Story of Love of Different Beliefs in the Single Moon Star, Cross Line

JAKARTA - The Wijaya 80 music unit, which consists of Ardhito Pramono, Erikson Jayanto, and Hezky Joe, collaborated with Sal Priadi to introduce the latest single titled "Bulan Bintang, Garis Menyilang".

The song opens with contrasting and straightforward lyrics: "That little cross necklace / you don't need to cover / when you meet my family." The premise is not just fiction, but a manifestation of the real experience of one of the members of Wijaya 80, Hezky Joe.

The arrangement built by Erikson as a producer, combines the nuances of classic Indonesian pop typical of Wijaya 80 with a contemporary lyrical touch that is the hallmark of Sal Priadi.

Erikson said that out of the many materials they worked on, this number has a very strong emotional appeal, especially for Sal Priadi. His interest in this song became the main spark as to why this collaboration finally materialized organically.

"Sal is very touched by this song. He is very keen on this song to be used as our collaboration project. For some reason, for this one song, Sal doesn't want to miss it and we agree," said Erikson in his statement, Saturday, March 21.

In line with Erikson, Ardhito considered the theme of interfaith love to be a classic problem that keeps repeating itself but rarely gets a thorough discussion. For him, this song is a bridge to understand the situation in a wiser way without having to feel tragic.

"From time to time, it seems that we have always met with this problem. The funny thing is, we all can't do anything other than accept," said Ardhito.

The momentum of the release of this song was deliberately chosen to be close to the atmosphere of Lebaran. Hezky said, this song is expected to be a friend for those who celebrate God's love.

"I think there will be a lot of people who relate, when people love each other, but have to celebrate God's love on two different holidays," said Hezky.

Sal Priadi added, initially this song was prepared to welcome the Christmas moment, but the team felt that the Eid moment was the right time to release this work to the public.

"I feel that this Eid moment will be celebrated together. We know that the holiday is always a moment of meeting lovers with a large family," said Sal. "So this song was also created to be an introduction, so a friend, for couples of different backgrounds in celebrating this day of God's love."

This collaboration is projected to be the opening of a series of collaborations between Wijaya 80 and Sal Priadi in the future, including plans to bring this work to the stage of live performances to the audience.
