Celebrate a Decade of Music, Reality Club Prepares a Retrospective Concert at the Senayan Basketball Hall

JAKARTA - Reality Club is preparing to carve a new history in the course of its career. Entering its tenth year, the band, which is led by Fathia Izzati (vocals), Faiz Novascotia Saripudin (vocals, guitar), Nugi Wicaksono (bass), and Era Patigo (drums), will hold a solo concert titled "(10) Years of Reality Club - Live in Jakarta" at the Senayan Basketball Hall, Central Jakarta on June 6.

The journey of Reality Club is an anomaly and inspiration in the Indonesian music industry. Starting from a room and recording project in a closet ten years ago, four young people without a formal music education background managed to break the limit.

The concert promoted by Katarsis Live is projected not as an ordinary music stage, but rather a retrospective space that summarizes the growth of Reality Club with its loyal listeners.

Fathia Izzati, who is familiarly called Chia, remembers the early days of the band's formation with great sadness. He calls this achievement a real miracle for those who started everything from scratch.

"Ten years is a miracle for us. Behind Reality Club, no one studied music, no one had industry connections. We started from scratch. To be able to get to this point, it's something we never took for granted," Chia said in a statement, Monday, March 16.

In line with Chia, Faiz emphasized that this concert will provide a different audio-visual experience from their performance in the festival format. Fans will be invited to explore the long narrative of the four albums they have released, including songs that are rarely performed.

"This will be the first time we've done a concert with this capacity and not just celebrating a new album, but ten years of travel and four albums in total. That means we play songs from all those albums. So people who come will get our set longer plus storytelling from the past to the present," said Faiz.

The existence of Reality Club for a decade is worth considering. The band has proven its quality by winning the Best Alternative Album and Best Alternative Duo/Group/Collaboration categories at the AMI Awards. This achievement is further strengthened by their success in carrying out a series of tours in the United States and several countries in Asia.

Katarsis Live CEO, Reyhana Zein, explained that the selection of Basketball Hall Senayan as the concert location was based on the high enthusiasm of fans. The promoter decided to move the event to a larger venue to accommodate ticket demand and provide a more immersive experience.

"Seeing the enthusiasm of the audience, who have almost sold out tickets, and also hearing feedback to open the option for the audience to be in the stands, we chose a larger venue by considering a deeper experience of enjoying Reality Club," said Reyhana.

As for Era Patigo, this momentum is the right time to reflect on all the achievements that have been achieved.

Meanwhile, Nugi Wicaksono advised that the greatest legacy of Reality Club is the courage to realize dreams. According to him, success is not only about believing, but about the courage to take real action.
