JAKARTA - The legendary British rock band, Deep Purple, has been confirmed to not perform in front of their fans in Jakarta.

Previously, Deep Purple was scheduled to share the stage with Slank through a show scheduled to take place at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on April 18.

However, through a statement uploaded on the official social media account, Ian Gillan et al. have announced the disappointing news.

"With great regret we announce that Deep Purple will not perform at the Indonesia Arena GBK Senayan in Jakarta next month," Deep Purple wrote in the uploaded statement.

"Due to circumstances beyond the band's control, Deep Purple's performance on April 18 will not be carried out," he continued.

In addition, Rajawali Indonesia as the promoter has also confirmed the cancellation of Deep Purple and Slank's appearances.

"We understand and feel the deep disappointment, a feeling that the band also feels. We know how much you are looking forward to this historic night. However, we fully respect this situation given the circumstances beyond anyone's control," said the promoter.

"Our main focus at this time is your comfort and your rights as ticket buyers. We are committed to carrying out the refund process smoothly and transparently," he continued.

Meanwhile, the refund process only applies to tickets purchased through the official tiketing page. Meanwhile, tickets that have changed hands do not qualify.

The refund registration period runs from March 6 to April 18, with the process of disbursing funds being carried out within 90 working days after April 18, or at the latest on July 18.

"We apologize for this unpleasant news. Thank you for your understanding, patience, and unwavering support," the promoter concluded.
