Westlife Says Indonesian Fans' Support is Unparalleled

JAKARTA - Westlife is happy to be able to hold their concert in Indonesia again. Shane et al have even considered this country as their "second home" they are always greeted warmly.

Tuesday, February 10 evening, Westlife presented their signature songs at a concert titled "A Gala Evening" at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE) in Tangerang, Banten. The Irish group said there was a special bond with fans in Indonesia.

"You know when you feel you have a special bond, for 25 years, you have shown us so much love. Every time we come here, as I said last night, every time we come to Indonesia, we feel this is our second home," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, February 11.

"We feel as if we have been here many times. Every time we come, this place is always crowded, I really love Indonesia," he continued.

Meanwhile, Nicky appreciates the loyalty of Indonesian fans. According to him, Westlife's presence until now is inseparable from the support of fans. He said that Westlife not only belongs to the members, but also belongs to the fans of the group called Westlifer.

Nicky also called Indonesia an "unparalleled" country for Westlife.

"We always tell everyone how amazing Asia is, especially Indonesia, because in my opinion, Indonesia is where Westlife achieved the most platinum in the world," said the Dublin-born singer.

"So, thank you very much. You are truly an unmatched country for Westlife, and we really appreciate it," he added.

Nicky revealed the group's plans to bring surprises to the 25th anniversary of Westlife's musical journey.

"We also have some big surprises coming soon with Westlife as we celebrate 25 years of all those songs," he said.

Kian Egan said that Indonesia was one of the first countries in Asia that Westlife members visited at the beginning of their careers.

"Indonesia has a very special place in our hearts. When we first started out as a band and came from Ireland and England, one of the first countries we visited in this part of the world was Indonesia," he said.

Westlife staff were amazed at the number of people who greeted them at the airport and the amount of support they received when they first visited Indonesia.

"And now, more than 25 years later, we are back again and again and again, and our love for Indonesia is growing and growing," said Kian.

Westlife performed a total of 19 songs in this show. A nostalgic atmosphere was presented with a series of mainstay tracks such as "If I Let You Go", "Uptown Girl", "My Love", "You Raise Me Up", "Flying Without Wings", and "Swear It Again".
