Family Reveals Chronology Of Yaya Moektio Ex Drummer God Bless's Death

JAKARTA - The departure of the former God Bless drummer Yaya Moektio, to the lap of the Creator, has left deep sorrow for the family, friends, and the Indonesian music world.

The late Yaya was buried at the Jeruk Purut TPU, South Jakarta on Monday, December 8, accompanied by tears of emotion and prayers from hundreds of mourners who packed the burial area.

The son of the deceased, Rama Moektio, who was met by the media crew after the funeral, told in detail the chronology of the disease that took his father's life.

According to Rama, the illness suffered by his father began with a dead end that had not been detected for the past three years.

During that period, the symptoms Yaya felt were only about stomach acid or ulcers, and she even had to be hospitalized three times a year.

"So you already have a disease, it turns out that this disease has the basic dead end, but you don't feel the same as Papa," said Rama.

"Three years this, every year there are three times you go to the hospital. What the doctor gives and what Papa feels is like stomach acid, like ulcers," he continued.

Fatal conditions occur when the dead intestine breaks, so that the seeds that spread then trigger bacterial infections that spread to other vital organs, ranging from the lungs to the kidneys.

Yaya also had time to undergo the first operation which went smoothly. However, not long after, he had to undergo a second operation again because of allegations of viruses and infections that were still spreading in his body.

"Furthermore, it turns out that Papa is in a disease that doesn't exist yet, like his lungs that were not there, so he got TB (Tuberculosis), then his intestines were okay to get TB, his kidneys were also affected. Well, what makes Papa unable to improve is because of his TB," said Rama.

Before he breathed his last, said Rama, Yaya underwent intensive treatment at the hospital for approximately 17 days.

Five days before his departure, Yaya's condition was decreasing and could not communicate verbally. He was stable and conscious for one day, but after the tenth day, his eye's response was not optimal, although he could still respond with a loud voice.

The legend's struggle ended 2-3 minutes before the dawn call to prayer. The family, Rama said, provided full support to the end, including the Yaya Moektio prayer guide.
