JAKARTA - No less than 100 musicians across generations, public figures, communities and various government institutions unite on behalf of humanity. A national solidarity movement was initiated through 100 Musicians of the Heal Sumatra Charity Concert to help victims of flash floods and landslides that hit Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra.
The disaster is known to have claimed hundreds of lives, left hundreds of residents missing, and forced hundreds of thousands of residents to flee and homeless.
This movement was initiated by Irma Hutabarat, Kadri Mohamad, and Tompi, in collaboration with the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (ILUNI UI), BP BUMN, Ministry of Creative Economy, Ministry of Culture, Miyara Sumatra, Swara, VISI, DSS Music, British School Jakarta (BSJ), Matauli Foundation, and the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), as well as dozens of communities and volunteers from all over Indonesia.
Support also came from various figures and individuals, including Akbar & Nina Tanjung, Bambang Susatyo, Eddy Soeparno, Doni Oskaria, Fadli Zon, Giring Ganesha, Pahala Mansury, Sofyan Djalil, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Surya Paloh, and Teuku Riefky Harsya, who helped strengthen this collaborative effort through moral support and contributions that helped smooth the implementation of activities.
This charity concert is scheduled to take place in two sessions, namely December 7, 2025 at T Space Bintaro and December 16, 2025 at Lippo Mall Kemang, presenting great Indonesian musicians who will appear without pay to raise funds for Sumatra's recovery.
Rows of musicians who will appear include Andien, Andre Taulany & Friends, Barry Likumahuwa, Bertha, David Bayu, Ello, Fryda Lucyana, Judika, Mahalini, Maliq & D Essentials, Kaka (Slank), Nonaria, Paul, RAN, Rio Febrian, Trio Lestari (Tompi, Sandhy Sondoro), Sal Priadi, along with a number of other musicians' names will be announced following.
