JAKARTA - The genius musician who belongs to Dream Theater, Jordan Rudess, spoke about the habits of today's concert audiences who often record with cell phones. If some musicians object to that, he admits that he doesn't really mind.

Not only senior musicians such as Lamb of God or Ghost, today's artists also want to ban the use of cell phones during concerts. Some of them are Sabrina Carpenter, Silk Sonic and K-Pop artists.

Returning to Rudess' opinion about this, he had no problem with the audience recording or taking photos at the Dream Theater concert. However, they should know the time and not record the whole song or concert.

"It doesn't matter, not at all. In my opinion, people should be allowed to take photos. I think the problem is only if we see people out there who keep recording, not just taking photos. I think it's a bit rude. But I don't mind being photographed at all," Jordan Rudess said in an interview with Everblack, citing Blabbermouth on October 23.

"In fact, I think it's good. Take some photos, record small clips, but don't sit there all the time, just hold on to your cellphone, keep recording everything. That's not true," he said.

He hopes that the audience, especially in the front part, will appreciate the musicians more. You can record enough, then return to enjoying the show as you should to appreciate each other.

"Another thing that's not cool, for people who listen and will be in this situation, if you're in the front row and John Petrucci's [Gitarist DREAM THEATER] right next to you "Come on. Don't just sit there and hold your phone. It's not fun for the performers," he said.

"It's unacceptable. Yes, take a photo, of course, take a moment, but place your phone. Just enjoy it. It's disrespectful for performers to bring something near them. It's annoying," said Rudess.
