JAKARTA - GIGI's journey as a band has reached the age of three decades, but the spirit they have shown to date is still so solid. This is reflected in their 25th album collection titled Forever In The Air which officially aired from October 8, 2025 yesterday.

This album has revived the passion of its four personnel as children of the band. They do 'crazy' things in order to achieve complete musical chemistry, from the process of making songs to the old school approach in the recording session.

The first two singles were released last July & August, namely Dancing and All Answered Kan which opened the way to Forever In The Air. And now seven other tracks can be enjoyed on various digital platforms.

"In addition to producing the latest albums, we also have aspirations to produce our songs in a historic studio because in our opinion the songs that tell will shine more if recorded in a studio full of stories. That's why we chose to do the recording process at the Power Station at Berklee NYC, where many world musicians (Madonna, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Rolling Stone, John Mayer, and many more) gave birth to their best songs," said GIGI regarding their new album, October 8.

The organic songwriting process was carried out by GIGI in a workshop session in the Puncak area. Each personnel contributed to the development of song early ideas from Armand, Budjana, Thomas and Hendy. This ritual, according to GIGI, is one of the strengths of Forever In The Air.

In addition, GIGI also decided to record this album live with a ribbon. Without much makeup, GIGI's musical communication has indeed become the main treats, in addition to the lyrics that also describe their musical journey so far.

"As far as I know, it's rare for the band whose album tells the journey of its music. On this album we do that," said Thomas Ramdhan at a press conference launching an album at Senayan Park, Jakarta.

This album was born with the spirit of togetherness and maturity of a band, which can also be seen from the fast recording process of this album on Power Station.

"We've been in the studio for two days, but the recording has been completed for a day, about two shifts. Because if you play with them there is no doubt," added Armand Maulana, vocalist of GIGI.

In the project of this album, GIGI collaborated with JUNI Records, which supports this album to be enjoyed by various groups. From the selection of song titles to creative plans regarding content, JUNE was involved in it.

"Through Forever In The Air, we want to express our great hope that our works always live in the hearts of listeners, and the name GIGI remains airing, filling musical spaces in this country forever," said GIGI about the selection of their album title.
