Lionel Richie Unloads Michael Jackson's Dirty Habits Until He Is Nicknamed 'Smelly'

JAKARTA - Lionel Richie made a surprising confession about his friend nicknamed the Pop Music King, Michael Jackson, through his latest memoir.

In his memoir, Richie confirmed that Jones, who worked with Jackson on many hit songs, often teased Jackson with the nickname "Smolly".

"Michael will also laugh, realizing that he is not aware of the fact that he has not changed or washed his clothes for a few days or more,"tai wrote, quoted by People, Tuesday, October 7.

He added, "We all have our own oddities."

oo further explained that Jackson's habit of ignoring cleanliness was partly triggered by his extraordinary level of fame. Jackson is said to not be able to visit the store carelessly just to buy new clothes. The risk of being attacked by fans (mobed) is too big.

In addition, he said, every time Jackson sends his clothes to the pentu, the clothes are often never returned. Again because of his fame.

"Everyone keeps something for souvenirs,"tai wrote. "He's just used to wearing the same pants until he's no longer fit to wear it."

The peak of this unique habit was revealed by Richie when he escorted Jackson home. "I took him home, through the back path, and he was sweet and grateful. As soon as I walked back home, I walked through the living room and saw on the carpet lying a pair of Michael Jackson underwear and the old outdated jeans. It just bounced like a carcass on the street," he recalled. "What am I doing besides laughing? MJ is here."
