The Temper Trap Repackaged Solo's Dougy Mandagi Song As New Single

JAKARTA - The Temper Trap recently rose from a long sleep after throwing Lucky Dimes' single. This week they are ready to return with the next single titled Giving Up Air.

The Australian band announced that this new song will air starting Thursday, September 25. They also remind fans to pre-save the song now.

Hearing the snippet, several fans immediately remembered something. And it's true, Giving Up Air is a new version of the song Disarm which was previously released on Dougy's solo project named Bloodmoon.

The song has a special vibe, and was included in the FIFA 22 game soundtrack. So, what is the difference between this song in 2025 from the original version?

"Our next song is Giving Up Air. It's a very personal song for me, about a life-changing moment, the pain of losing someone tragically. Some of you may have heard it, because this song was made for my solo project," said Dougy Mandagi, vocalist of The Temper Trap on Instagram some time ago.

The process of making this song a new version is an interesting experience for them. Feeling like it's flowing, this song has a new shape.

"My band and I got together and played it several times in the studio. It felt comfortable, and it looks like the song finally found the real house. So we let it go as the single The Temper Trap now," he added.

Dougy did not forget to thank fans who are still loyal to support even though they are not always there.

"Thank you for your support so far, which means it's very big for us. It's also a reminder of the reason we made music," he said.
