JAKARTA - Blur will celebrate the three-decade anniversary of the album The Great Escape by releasing vinyl in a limited edition. This work is their fourth album released on September 11, 1995, which simply confirms their identity and uniqueness on the music scene.
This special version of The Great Escape will be released in the Half Speed Mastered Double-Disc Colored Vinyl format via the Parlophone label. Preorder purchases can be made now, and are scheduled until December 12.
This anniversary edition album features the first disc containing 15 standard album songs, and in the second disc there will be a rare collection of B-sides and bonus tracks. Selain rilisan vinyl, Blur juga meluncurkan koleksi merchandise khusus yang dirancang oleh Tony Hung. Koleksi kapsul lima item ini akan diluncurkan bersamaan dengan vinyl pada 12 Desember.
The 30th anniversary of The Great Escape is also enriched with a project from drummer Dave Rowntree. He will release a photobook titled No One You Know: Dave Rowntree's Early Blur Photos published by Hero on September 9.
This 200+-thick book was edited by journalist Miranda Sawyer and contains more than 1,000 photos of the band's early days of documentation. Rowntree described it as a turning-on moment, a trip, and four men in their 20s excited to do everything new.
