Anggrek Duo Introduces Indonesian Diversity Through Single Goyang Nusantara

JAKARTA - The dangdut unit consisting of Devay and Putri, Duo Anggrek, again greeted Indonesian music lovers through a new single entitled 'Goyang Nusantara'.

The song, written by R. Kerta and Yanto Sari, is intended as a celebration of the diversity of Indonesian culture, but is packaged with humorous lyrics, energetic rhythms, and choreography typical of the Anggrek Duo.

Meanwhile, the lyrics of the song invite listeners to tour various regions in Indonesia in unique ways, such as many other Duo Anggrek songs by mentioning various culinary delights that become icons' of every city.

"We make this song to celebrate how beautiful, diverse, and sometimes funny our culture is," Devay said in his statement, Wednesday, August 20.

This single became more special because it was introduced close to the 80th leveling of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

"At this moment of independence, we want to invite all Indonesian people to shake together, laugh together, and again feel proud to be part of the archipelago," added Putri.

The chorus of the song is no less humorous. Devay and Putri sang lyrics depicting a man looking secretly while pretending to be coughing or pretending to be busy making this song not only to be heard, but also inviting everyone to sway and laugh together.

With an expressive stage style and a strong comedy character, Duo Anggrek proved that they still consistently serve fresh, fun, and rooted entertainment in Indonesian dangdut pop culture.
