Yura Yunita Calls The Sabang Merauke Performance This Year The Most Challenging Show Of Her Career

JAKARTA - Yura Yunita is again trusted to appear in the Sabang Merauke (PSM) performance, which will be held at the Indonesia Arena, Central Jakarta on August 23 and 24.

For his appearance later, Yura called this year's PSM the most challenging show in his music career.

"I want to tell you here but later it won't be a surprise. But for sure, this will be my longest-standing show of my life," Yura said at a press conference before a joint training session at Kempinski Grand Ballroom, Central Jakarta, Monday, August 4.

Similar to the appearance in the previous year, Yura will sing with an attraction at an altitude.

"There is an attraction, what I want my friends to see. That's me riding something really big," said Yura.

"Just wait. The creature is about folklore, because everything we show there is part of Indonesian folklore," he continued.

Furthermore, regarding the preparation for his appearance later, the 34-year-old singer admitted that she had to practice physical and muscle so that she could stay fit.

"Sports are certain, squad, and all kinds of things. Because the attraction requires strong muscles, so there are also many physical exercises for PSM. Dance training and improvising tones as well, so vocal expressions adjust songs from each region," he said.

There are about five songs that will be performed by Yura later, which include regional songs and collaboration songs with Padi Reborn.

"There are five songs, there are regional songs, there are collaboration songs with my favorite band, there are attractions too. This is more spectacular than the previous one," he concluded.

For information, the Sabang Merauke Performance - The Indonesian Broadway Hikayat Nusantara will feature 31 songs and dozens of dances from almost all over the archipelago to represent the richness of regional culture, such as Padang Wulan from Central Java, Bungong Jeumpa from Aceh, Butet and Rambadia from North Sumatra, to Injit-Injit Antut from Jambi and Pak Pung Pak Mustafa from Riau.

The audience will also be invited to enjoy the beauty of Gending Sriwijaya from South Sumatra, Pang Lipang Dang from Lampung, Kambanglah Bungo from West Sumatra, and the modern medley Remix of Andalas Island Bersatu which unites the spirit of Sumatra.

From West Java will be present Manuk Dadali, from Jakarta Keroncong Kemayoran, from East Java Jangkrik Genggong and Umbul Umbul Blambangan, as well as Mahadewi from Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, Central Kalimantan will present the composition of Kalimantan's typical instrumental.

This diversity is equipped with Lulo from Southeast Sulawesi, Come on Mama and Hi Rame-Rame from Maluku, Putri Cening Ayu and Tembang Calon Charcoal from Bali, Songong from East Nusa Tenggara, and Sajojo from Papua. In addition, the national anthem Syukur, the thematic song Nusantara, and the closing song self-Inspirations will be symbols of togetherness and the spirit of unity which is at the heart of this performance.

In terms of musicals, Elwin Hendrijanto, an Indonesian composer who is also known for his work in the Hollywood film industry, will act as Music Director. Meanwhile, Maestro Avip Priatna as the conductor of the orchestra from the Jakarta Concert Orchestra, supported by a choir from Batavia Madrigal Singers and The Resonanz Children's Choir.
