Sal Priadi Kasih Leaks New Songs Made Specially For Malang

JAKARTA - In the near future, Sal Priadi will introduce a new single written specifically for his hometown, Malang. The song has been produced and is ready to be officially released.

Similar to the other songs, the upcoming single entitled 'Malang Suantai Sayang' is written in a storytelling style that becomes Sal's strength when writing songs.

Asked about what kind of single was intended for Malang City, Sal said his music arrangement would be similar to the song Irama Laot Teduh single which was released in 2020.

"Maybe I can say I have the title song Laot Teduh about this new single. But this is specifically about Malang," said Sal, met on the sidelines of his appearance at BRI Jazz Gunung Series 2 Bromo some time ago.

The 33-year-old songwriters have not been able to confirm whether there will be a new album or extended play (EP) in the near future. However, what is certain is that the single Malang Suantai Sayang will be released this August.

"K ali, I really focus on singles first. I don't know if there will be an EP or not. This single is separate because the title is very specific. The song is for Malang," he said.

Meanwhile, the inspiration for songwriting was obtained because of Sal's anxiety, which felt that there were not enough songs specifically intended for Malang.

"Because I had time to go to Jogja, I saw a lot of things when I tagged Stories on Instagram, it seems like there are so many songs that can be installed in Jogja. But when I return to Malang, how come it's rare," said Sal.

"Well, as a musician I can't understand, I just made my own song. Well, that's probably one of the reasons why I made this song," he concluded.
