My Chemical Romance Starts Long Live Tour The Black Parade In Seattle

JAKARTA - The emo and pop-punk music icon, My Chemical Romance (MCR), has started their latest series of tours titled Long Live The Black Parade in Seattle, USA on July 11 last weekend.

As is known, this tour is part of the celebration of their historic 2006 album, The Black Parade, with a number of hits on it, including Welcome to the Black Parade, Famous Last Words, I Don't Love You and Teenagers.

Meanwhile, the show, which was held at T-Mobile Park, became the starting point for Gerard Way cs' journey to tour North America, South America, and Asia until next year.

The show, which sold out in just hours, was attended by 45,000 enthusiastic fans. Quickly, the appearance of MCR on the first stage was spread on social media.

A series of hits were played including Cancer, Helena, Welcome to the Black Parade, and others but one main topic of conversation that night was a election' simulation.

According to fans sharing information on Reddit, black and white mugshot-style photos with crossed faces are displayed on the screen, with a style similar to the "'exterminate" poster from the Danger Days era. The audience was invited to choose the fate of four candidates with the "YAY" or "NAY" sign.

Another unique moment in the show, occurred when MCR personnel were kidnapped by acationist, who was later detonated at night, which made fans look hysterical.

"Imagine trying to explain to an ordinary MCR fan that at their concert, they actually executed four people head-on and then ended The Black Parade with a clown being blown up", wrote one fan.

In his first appearance for the 'Long Live The Black Parade' tour, My Chemical Romance performed 25 songs. Meanwhile, Violent Femmes appeared as the opening band.

For information, My Chemical Romance will also bring a comeback tour to Indonesia. They will appear at the Hammersonic Festival which will be held in Jakarta on May 3, 2026.
