JAKARTA - The singer and songwriter from Bandung, Tsaqib, introduced the latest single from his solo project. Music experiences in several bands helped him explore himself as a solo talent.

Assisted by his older brother and sister as music partners, Tsaqib has released several singles during his career in Bandung with his own efforts. In the past few years, Tsaqib has also formed an indie rock group Dorkie with Kevin Rinaldi, where he plays the lead vocalist and songwriter.

"There are some significant differences in the process of writing songs as band vocalists and as Tsaqib," he said.

"In addition to differences in language (Dorkie's songs in English), I can be much more honest and personal when writing as Tsaqib. Although both of them departed from my favorite stories, in the past I could only write from the surface, while as Tsaqib I was able to dive deeper in the story. ."

Single 'Inevitably', which is also worked on from his personal story, tells the story of someone who often gives in to the interests of his partner. This situation makes me very frustrated. I love this person very much, but I feel unappreciated, in the end I have to give in again. But I'm still trying, who knows my thoughts change," said Tsaqib.

Tsaqib gave spotlight to his melancholic sensitivity as a man and also an artist. In the process of writing the song, he always wants to conclude every story with a sweet message or conclusion.

"The intention is that my listeners and I can both learn from my story," he explained. "Sad is okay, but I don't want to be sad because it drags on. For example, in this song, I put it to God" on the bridge, that if he wasn't my soul mate, it's okay as long as I've tried.

Packed by simple but precise acoustic guitar chants, Tsaqib's soft voice was perfected with vocal direction by Kamga, not much was changed from the composition of Mau Tak Mau from the beginning of writing, until the time Tsaqib introduced his demonstration to the A&R Trinity Optima Production team, to the final version.

"Later on, not all of my songs will sound like this on an arrangement. But for sure, in terms of lyrics and writing, I will be consistent with my stance: honestly, but not protracted," he concluded. Mau Tak Mau, Tsaqib's debut single under Trinity Optima Production, can already be heard on all digital music platforms starting April 16. Related video clips can be watched on Trinity Optima Production's Youtube channel on April 18.
