Zakk Wylde Ready To Help Pantera Comeback With Riff From The Late Guitarist

JAKARTA - Zakk Wylde, a seasoned American guitarist, said he was ready to take part again at the Pantera reunion. He opened up opportunities for recording and making new music.

Currently, the Pantera formation leaves Philip Anselmo on vocals, Rex Brown on bass and Charlie Benante as drummer. Zakk revealed that the discourse on working on a new song had already been discussed by the personnel.

The plan is increasingly possible because it turns out that the late Pantera guitarist, Dimebag Karya, has several guitar riff recording files. From there, new songs will be developed.

"Well, the personnel have talked about making something and Rita [Haney, girlfriend of the late PANTera guitarist 'Dimebag'ur Abbott] has a lot of recordings of Dime cassettes writing riffs and other things," said Zakk Wylde as quoted by Blabbermouth, March 11.

Apart from reviving Pantera's legacy with music that was made by Dimebag, Zakk also did not rule out creating new works starting from scratch. Together with members of Pantera, that might happen and they should make other names.

"Yes, of course (there is a plan)," he said. "I mean, how can you call it PANTERA unless it's just material that was already there and we will record it matter that is still in the form of a demo or something, and it is songs written by them. But as far as new songs are concerned, we have to call it by another name," he concluded.

Zakk Wylde, also known as Ozzy Osbourne guitarist, has been part of the Pantera reunion project over the past few years. Pantera disbanded in 2003 due to internal problems, and a year later Dimebag Osbourne, their guitarist died of being murdered in 2004.
