Owned By The Father Who Made The Song Hits, Gusti Irwan Wibowo: I Started From Zero

Despite having a father who has composed hits, Gusti said that his career in the music world was not as smooth as people thought.

When revealing his struggle to become a musician who is widely known, Gusti said there was not enough financial encouragement from his family.

"If there is a struggle (to become a musician), I just have it. Even though I was born to a father who incidentally sang thank God the hits, but not in money," said Gusti in a discussion in Cilandak, South Jakarta, Sunday, March 9.

"The song can be famous, but roughly every day (in the family), the eggs divided by four are still safe. It's quite poor," he continued.

Gusti felt that her journey as a musician should start from below. However, he did not deny that his musical talents and lessons were obtained from his father.

"So it really starts from scratch. But talent, thank God there is already capital," he said.

Since childhood, Gusti said that her father played music from British major bands, such as Queen, The Beatles, and The Police. Through their songs, Gusti began to learn music.

The type of music Gusti plays today - which presents many elements of comedy and goes viral on social media - is also inspired by the songs of his father's creation, such as The Important Hepi, Win Silang', to That'.
