Collaboration Between Matta And Ustaz Derry Sulaiman Present Single Religi For Self Reflection During Ramadan

JAKARTA - In undergoing Ramadan this year, Matta released a reflexive religious single with the title 'God Almighty'. This song was performed in collaboration with former Betrayer guitarist, Ustaz Derry Sulaiman.

Matta presented her song this time as a form of syiar to strengthen the faith of the listeners. This single also becomes more special because it is dedicated to the late Emperor 'son of the drummer, Yadi Bachman alias Wox who died because he was dragged by the waves at Kelingking Beach, Bali in November 2024.

The incident made Matta's extended family very sad. Memories of the Emperor were also presented through a music video. In the tausiyah section, news from the media was displayed about the incident.

"In accordance with the deceased's wish, that he wants to see his father back on the music stage," said Matta guitarist Dicky in his statement, Friday, March 7.

"We visualized this song by trying to show what we experienced and felt, as well as a little snippets of images at the time of this test, in the hope of describing the intent and content in this work," he continued.

By cooperating with Ustaz Derry Sulaiman, Sunu as vocalist of Matta explained, this song contains an in-depth message about human inability without the help of Allah.

This song tells the story of all creatures who are weak, even helpless, if they are not given strength by Allah. If you want to dip, you need help, you want to breathe, you need help. If there is no help, we will mourn it," said Sunu.

Both Matta and Ustaz Derry Sulaiman and hope that the message in this song can be conveyed properly to the listeners.

"Hopefully by performing religious songs, we can improve ourselves more, Allah will provide guidance for us. Actually, we don't just want to be watery, but also preach. Whatever our profession, we must preach," concluded Sunu.
