JAKARTA - Spotify presents an immersive exhibition titled This Is Taylor Swift: A Spotify Playlist Experience at MGP Space, SCBD, South Jakarta on February 14-16.

This exhibition invites Swifties in Indonesia to experience interactive experiences exploring Taylor Swift's musical works that make her a pop star.

Kossy Ng as Spotify Southeast Asia's Head of Music said Taylor Swift's music not only shaped culture, but also created deep connections, and had broken various world records on Spotify.

"In Indonesia, its popularity grows phenomenally, supported by the spirit of the Indonesian Swifties," said Kossy when opening the exhibition, Wednesday.

"That's why, we are so enthusiastic about bringing this to Jakarta, to celebrate its iconic music era with fans who love and soul every piece of his work," he continued.

Jakarta was chosen as the first city visited by This Is Taylor Swift: A Spotify Playlist Experience. The reason, said Kossy, is that Indonesia is in the top five countries that contribute to Taylor Swift's monthly listeners.

"Yes, you know what you're looking for. Indonesia and the Philippines are home to some of Swifties who are the most excited, and that's why we bring this experience to Jakarta," said Kossy.

"Now, we will discuss a little bit about how Jakarta and Indonesians are listening to Taylor Swift. We are really seeing incredible music growth on Spotify, with streaming for Taylor Swift actually surpassing 285% in the last three years," he added.

Not only Jakarta, Kossy said other cities such as Bandung, Surabaya, Semarang, and Makassar also made large donations.

Meanwhile, the installation presented at This Is Taylor Swift: A Spotify Playlist Experience includes Enchanted Hallway as an immersive aisle that brings visitors into the world of Taylor Swift; The Great Collection featuring 11 special panels for each era of music; This Is Me Writing as a space where the lyrics radiate from the ceiling to the floor through the projected light; to Message in a Booth and preserve unforgettable moments in Picture to Keep, complete with 11 frames inspired by Taylor Swift's iconic music era.

After Jakarta, Spotify will take the exhibition to two other cities in Asia, namely Manila and Seoul.
