JAKARTA - Dream Theater launched their champion's work on Parasomnia's latest album. The single titled Midnight Messiah feels special because it involves the drummer, Mike Portnoy in lyric writing.

This step is Mike's first time since 2009. Seventeen years later, he was happy to finally be able to contribute to the process of working on this new song further.

"I'm very happy to write the lyrics again and donate this chapter to the Parasomnia story. DT fans will probably be happy to find some hidden things that I instilled in the song that refers to many of my previous DT lyrics," Portnoy said in a statement published in NME, January 24.

In the broadcast, the 57-year-old drummer also talked about the memorable music video concept. Especially in the near future they will continue to tours in several cities in North America.

"The music video is a great representation of the excitement of the first two parts of the tour that we recently completed across Europe and South America. Just in time to prepare for the next part across North America that we really wanted to start," he added.

Meanwhile, Parasomnia's album itself will still be released on February 7th. This work is a musical celebration by rejoining Mike as a drummer.

In the process of working on it, Dream Theater's full album was produced by guitarist John Petrucci. James Jimmy T Meslin plunged as an engineer, and Andy Sneap served in the mixing process. The album will also be available in the boxset Deluxe edition which is circulated in a limited number.
