Metalulia Presents Physical Release From Best Metal Album AMI Awards 2024

JAKARTA - Logulia received great appreciation at the end of last year. They brought home two trophies at the 2024 AMI Awards, winning the category of Best Solo/Group/ Metal Collaboration Artists through the song Hantam Anger and Best Metal Albums through the full album Narration Distortion.

As a celebration for the appreciation obtained, the metal band from Jakarta launched a physical release of the 'Narration Distortion' album in a compact disc (CD) format.

The album contains nine songs, whose cultivation process took quite a while, until it was finally officially released on the digital streaming platform in June 2024.

This is because the personnel consisting of Achmad Hafizullah (vocals), Pratama Putra Rahardjo (guitar, vocals), Abdul Aziz Turhan (bass, vocals) and Alejandro Saksakame (drums, vocals) have activities outside the band. They also had to deal with the pandemic situation a few years ago.

Regarding the contents of this album, Logulia personnel understand that rock music does not merely scream while playing its instruments as quickly and as loud as possible.

"All the processes that Logulia went through in the production of the album have finally paid off, when the Narasi Distortion managed to win the 2024 AMI Awards in two categories at once," said Achmad Hafizullah in his statement, Sunday, January 12.

The flying hours that the personnel have collectively, are considered the key to making the album 'Narration Distortion' get such great appreciation.

As a vocalist who has played for him, Achmad knows when to sing and when to sing, so that the lyrics he wrote with Abdul Aziz Turhan are clearly interpreted, so that his message can be clearly captured.

Meanwhile, Putra Rahardjo, an alumnus of Resistance, showed his expertise in producing guitar riffs that made his head nod. Then there are Abdul and Alejandro Saksakume as solid and dynamic rhythm guards, which are the result of playing together for a dozen years at Payung Teduh and the Rain Parade.

All elements above plus the help of several musicians such as Denny Nugroho from Redsix who became the guest vocalist at and Kharisma alias Karis from Deadsquad who filled out guitar solos made Narative Distortion an album that has the potential to place Metalulia as a band that should be taken into account in the Indonesian music industry.
