Putri Ariani: People with Disabilities Have the Same Rights to Create Work

JAKARTA - Putri Ariani has a great desire to achieve success through music. Recently, she released her first studio album which was consciously intended to further introduce her work to music lovers around the world.

For Putri, her physical limitations (disabilities) are not an obstacle at all. That is what she wants to convey to many people, especially fellow people with disabilities.

"I'm really happy if through what Putri does, some of my friends can get inspiration, get something good," said Putri Ariani when attending the commemoration of Disability Day at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, East Jakarta recently.

According to her, the commemoration of Disability Day has an important meaning, which signifies that those with physical limitations also have the same rights to create works.

"Putri just wants to say that people with disabilities are the same. So the meaning for Putri is that Disability Day is a day of equality, because we people with disabilities have the same rights to be able to create works," she said.

The 18-year-old singer-songwriter also has a message for her friends. She wants everyone to never hesitate to achieve their dreams.

“Be yourself, keep up the spirit, never hesitate to take a step, and don’t wait for an opportunity but create the opportunity yourself,” Putri said.

“Putri said earlier, everything will be beautiful in time. It may feel uncomfortable, heavy, but as long as we believe and pray it will be beautiful in time,” she said.
