JAKARTA - Cholil Mahmud has more than 20 years of musical experience with Greenhouse Effects (ERK). Various music events at home and abroad have been felt.

The 48-year-old musician also has his own experience dealing with various music promoters. According to him, there are fundamental differences between music promoters in Indonesia and several other countries.

"If you look at how they work and their safety is, maybe there is a difference," said Cholil when met in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday, November 14.

The ERK frontman gave an example of how promoters in Singapore use certified staff for things that require special expertise.

"For example, in Southeast Asia, for example, those who have been established in Singapore, they are quite striking. For example, the person who holds the mixer, he must have certification to hold the mixer," he said.

Cholil said that the standards in Singapore were not applied by many promoters in Indonesia.

However, that does not mean that experts in Indonesia are left behind compared to Singapore. According to him, certification makes professionalism a thing to take into account.

"Although actually maybe Indonesians, the skills are not inferior, I think," concluded Cholil.
