Coldplay For The First Time Appears On A Concert Tour Without Guy Berryman

Coldplay is known to be on a 'Music Of The Spheres' concert tour in Australia and New Zealand. They played a 'historic show' where Chris Martin cs performed without the bassist, Guy Berryman.

The 'historic' incident occurred when Coldplay appeared in Melbourne on Tuesday, October 30, which was the first of four shows at the Marvel Stadium.

Through a fan video uploaded on X, Chris Martin can be seen explaining that the bassist is sick and unable to appear.

"So we're going to have a slightly different show," Chris Martin said, citing the account X @ColdplayAusNZ, Friday, November 1.

The Coldplay Frontman said they would still give their best performances, even though Guy couldn't get on stage.

"We will try our best to make it amazing. And I know it will be amazing, because we are in Melbourne with all of you beautiful people," Chris said.

"If you look at some mistakes, and some problems, it's because we don't have a bass player. And we only have about an hour to find out."

Chris said it was 'embarrassing', but he still promised the best concert fans ever without a bass player.

After the performance, Coldplay, via Instagram uploads, thanked the audience in Melbourne, and explained what happened before the show.

"Thank you Melbourne. Tonight is the first time in the history of our band that we played a performance without the four members on stage," Coldplay wrote in the caption.

"Guy fell ill unexpectedly just before the show. Thank you for accompanying us through these difficult times."

Meanwhile, Guy's position at the show was replaced by their producer and technician, Bill Rahko. He disguised himself by wearing a space helmet which is part of Coldplay's stage production.

Guy Berryman came back for the show for a second day, with Martin joking, 'We want to welcome you to the first concert since our band re-formed today with our original (personnel).'

"There's no Coldplay without Guy, me, Will, and Jonny. And thank you to Bill for yesterday which was amazing."
