Guns N 'Roses Will Create New Works? Duff McKagan Leaks

JAKARTA - Duff McKagan revealed the possibility of Guns N' Roses releasing new works. With their reputation as legends, the presence of a new song will certainly be awaited by fans.

He delivered the discourse on October 29 at the "Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk" event on SiriusXM. The bassist confirmed that he and his bandmates were working on new material.

"There is a desire and a definite plan for new music," he said as quoted by Blabbermouth, October 31. "Yes, of course," he continued.

Until now, Duff et al are still actively on tour, such as in North America in November 2023 in Hell & Heaven Metal Fest in Mexico. For the musician, every show always feels special.

"You can go on tours and have ups and downs during the tour. But we've never experienced it. Every show always feels special. Even when we extended the tour - after a long tour, it was extended for another four weeks, it could destroy the band," he said.

"Your trend is too long. And everyone starts shouting at each other, crew, and all that. But that doesn't happen with our band or crew. So we end this tour with a very special moment, namely Mexico City, the big show we're doing."

Guns N' Roses released EP four songs, "Hard Skool", in February 2022. This EP, which is exclusive to the official Guns N' Roses store, contains two new songs released by the band in 2021 - the main song and "Absurd" - as well as live versions of "Don't Cry" and "You're Crazy".

This legendary hard rock group has not released a full-length album since "Chinese Democracy" in 2008, which featured only Axl Rose vocalists from the band's classic formation. McKagan and guitarist Slash reunited with Axl in 2016 and since then released several independent singles - "Absurd" (stigated as "ABSUmen"), "Hard Skool", "Perhaps" and "The General" - but there has been no announcement of any other LP albums.

However, it is not certain when new works will be born. The new Guns N 'Roses studio album will be the first under the GUNS flag since "Chinese Democracy" and the first to feature Slash, Rose and bassist Duff McKagan since 1993.
