Dua Lipa Pays Respect To The Inaugurated Cher For The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

JAKARTA - Dua Lipa was present at the inauguration night of the 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame which took place in Cleveland, United States last weekend.

The 29 singer was present to pay tribute to Cher, who was sworn in the Class of 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that night. The two performed to bring Believe on stage.

Through his Instagram account after the event was over, Dua expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to appear with his idol singer.

"It is a very great honor to pay last night's tribute to IKON & LEGENDA Cher when he was sworn in to Rock Hall," Dua Lipa wrote, citing an upload caption, Tuesday, October 22.

"I'm grateful for the words because I was able to share the stage with Cher and The Roots to sing 'Believe'," he said.

Meanwhile, Cher was appointed to the Class of 2024 at the age of 78. He has had a career in the music world for more than 61 years, since he was a teenager.

Cher in his inauguration speech threw a joke, saying last year that he would refuse the award if offered.

"It's easier to divorce from two men than to get into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I want to thank my guardian David Geffen, because he wrote a letter and sent it to the directors and so... ha ha, here I am," Cher said.

One thing I never did, was I never gave up. And I spoke to the women, Okay... we have fallen and slumped, but we continue to struggle, and we continue to move forward and we are someone. We are special, "he concluded.
