Fiji Blue Dedicates Album Glide For Wife With Brain Cancer

JAKARTA - Indie pop singer and songwriter Fiji Blue has finally announced the release date and song list for her debut album, 'Glide'. The album is dedicated by the owner of Trevor Ringing's name to his wife, Natasha, who is currently battling brain cancer.

This studio album consists of eleven songs with personal stories that Trevor has written. Even so, songs with the theme of love and loss on this album can still be universally interpreted, both plaonist and romantic.

Along with the announcement of the release date of his debut album, Fiji Blue released the 'Start Over' - the third single taken from her upcoming album. Previously, he had also released two singles, namely 'Peppermint' and 'Angel'.

In a new single, Trevor pours out feelings about dealing with problems and dilemmas. "This song is about feeling trapped in the middle, while still trying to process all the intense feelings that are still left," said Fiji Blue.

There are a lot of adjustments to make when we face the end of a relationship with someone, there are moments where we feel trapped in the middle of something, and of course at the same time we are also trying to process all the intense feelings that are inside us... it's like starting from scratch again, either emotionally or in terms of writing the song itself.

To tell stories in his upcoming album, Fiji Blue went to Topanga for a week to write songs. Every day he completes one song which is then immediately combined with the instrumentation of the piano and acoustic guitar.

There are emotions felt in every tone, chord, and melody in the 'Glide', balancing between the hurt and affection that inspire them. At the most heart-wrenching point, the album has become an reflection of those who never really leave us, a faint trail that has continued long after life walked in a different direction.

This album is rich in gratitude for the loved ones around us all such as friends, family, and a hopeful future and many possibilities.
